I review books of many different genres, so there is something here for almost everyone! I have a strict system for rating each book and it’s my policy to never give a book I do not finish a star rating. However, I will offer constructive feedback on DNF books, and if the book just wasn’t for me, I’ll include that in my review…because maybe it’s for you! My Review System:

5 stars = I love this book and it will stick with me. It was well written in all ways, including dynamic characters and extensive world building. I cannot find fault anywhere in the work.

4 stars = I loved the book but there were a few issues; maybe the characters were somewhat flat or the story dragged a bit.

3 stars = I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it. There were numerous issues with story, characters, the world, or editing. However there were redeeming qualities such as keeping me intrigued despite the flaws.

2 stars = I did not enjoy this book. This could be anything from ineloquent writing to poorly written characters and/or having a dull story, OR it might just not be for me!

1 star = I hated this book. Generally this rating is reserved for books that are unacceptable in all the aforementioned areas to an extent that it ruined the book.
