What would you do if you got to meet one of your all time favorite authors? I found out I instantly become a fangirl! And with good reason! CJ has written two of my best reads of the last few years: Maeve Fly and American Rapture.
From CJ’s author bio: CJ LEEDE is a horror writer, hiker, and Trekkie. She is the author of Maeve Fly and American Rapture. Her debut novel Maeve Fly won the Golden Poppy Octavia E. Butler Award and Splatterpunk Award, and earned a Bram Stoker Award nomination. When she is not driving around the country, CJ can be found in LA with her boyfriend and rescue dogs.
CJ spoke at length in conversation with The Lynx’s Gina Marks about her inspiration behind, and process for, writing American Rapture. She also answered audience questions about both books and graciously hung around and took pictures, signed books, and just talked with her fans.

I’ve attended author events a few times over the last year, and I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I have had…possibly ever. If you have the chance to attend an author event, do it! I cannot recommend it enough. Also, thanks to CJ I’m finally finding direction for my own novel (cross your fingers).
I’m still reeling, what a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween! If you can guess why I wore a green ribbon around my neck, you’re a true horror O.G….
